As Boy Scouts, one duty of ours is to help the community and earn a certain number of community service hours for rank requirements. We also believe in doing a good turn daily.  Our troop provides opportunities for our scouts to earn service hours by offering at least one service opportunity each month of the year.

Eagle scout projects are a community service project.  When a scout is working to earn the rank of eagle, they select a community service project that is approved by the council.  The scout is required to work on and supervise the project with the help of his other fellow scouts. Troop 31 may have multiple eagle scout projects going on at the same time giving all other scouts a great opportunity to earn service hours.

With all of these opportunities in the troop, we give all scouts the opportunity to get many service hours and learn the true meaning of scouts and doing a good turn daily.
