Welcome to the website of Boy Scout Troop 31

Located in State College, Pennsylvania, USA, Troop 31 is part of the Nittany Mountain District in the BSA's Juniata Valley Council. Our chartering organization for over 90 years has been the Men's Brotherhood Class of St. Pauls' United Methodist Church.

Meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, in the gymnasium at St. Paul's. We pride ourselves in offering a full and varied calendar of events that attracts scouts with many interests. Camping, backpacking, canoeing and other outdoor activities are the foundation of our program but we also enjoy high adventure trips, historical tours, family gatherings and other special events.

A large Troop, we average over 80 active Scouts and a dozen trained Scoutmasters on our roster. The Scouts and Scoutmasters are supported by a strong Troop Committee that has over 20 adults who volunteer their time for a variety of tasks. Parents are always welcome at any of our events, including campouts and are encouraged to be active in the Troop.

Troop 31 is boy-run and we strive to achieve the three aims of Boy Scouting - growth in moral strength and character, participating citizenship and development of physical, mental and emotional fitness.
